What is actually in "tuci"?
Despite the name, most samples sold as "tuci" contain neither co***ne nor 2C-B. Instead, forensic labs most frequently find unpredictable mixtures of ketamine, M**A, methamphetamine, caffeine, and acetaminophen. In fact, a single sample can contain up to nine different psychoactive compounds.
This unpredictability poses severe public health risks. Users are exposed to volatile combinations in unknown quantities, while frontline healthcare workers are left treating complex intoxication cases without knowing what was actually consumed.
To shed light on this trend, CICAD's Inter-American Observatory on Drugs has compiled and analyzed alerts from nine countries, received through the Early Warning System of the Americas between January 2023 and May 2026.
