Our club donated our local grant allotment to a project to help raise the infant mortality rate in Pasto Columbia. The grant, "Chilling for Life," was spearheaded by Jose Lopez of the Evanston Lighthouse Rotary club along with 27 other clubs from all over the US and some international clubs. The equipment needed was purchased and the first newborn was treated recently with the therapeutic hypothermia and neonatal monitoring machine. Thanks to the board and membership for their vision and compassion.

Today was volunteer day at Keeping Families Covered diaper warehouse. We had a small but mighty group of Rotarians helping out with whatever the ladies needed done! Check out this outstanding organization at :

Last evening the club fed over 40 hungry people of all ages at the First Methodist church in Waukegan. It was hot but the grils were hotter loaded with bratwurst, Italian sausages and hot dogs. A big thank you as always to our wonderful volunteers, Mary Jo, Diane, Bernie, and Andrew (did I forget anyone?).

Today we had a wonderful presentation entitled 121 Years of Rotary Magic by Marianna Zeidler. We also had some visiting international Rotarians Ron, Marcos, and Asha via ZOOM. Like to know more about Rotary International? www.rotary.org
