👀 The Care Receiver Notebook is out - with a fresh, new look! 👀

Those who received services in the last three years will also find our annual survey enclosed. This survey is mission critical in reporting our programs’ efficacy to our funders, as well as supporting us in identifying areas of need.

In the coming days, we will also have this survey available online.

🫶🏻Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week! 🫶🏻

We host an annual volunteer appreciation event in the fall, but this week, we are sending out a little extra thank you to show our gratitude.

ElderCARE will reach a milestone 1,000 seniors served this year, and that would not be possible without our volunteers.

On behalf of the office staff and all of our care receivers, thank you SO much for your generosity.

You truly make a difference every single day in the lives of Lake County seniors. 💙💛💚

📢 For you - an exciting announcement! 📣

Older adults' needs have evolved and become more complex over time. We are equipping our dedicated volunteer network with more education and support so they feel better prepared and supported to join us in meeting those needs.

For the first time since the pandemic, ElderCARE Lake County is hosting our first in-person, comprehensive volunteer training. This first training event will take place in a little over ONE WEEK. Space IS limited.

Prerequisites:
✅A completed volunteer application already on file with us
✅A completed background check

Please call 847-406-4683 to RSVP to learn more about:

• Insights on the normal aging process
• Common pathologies among older adults
• Dementia training provided by the Alzheimer's Association
• Sensory training to increase empathy & compassion
• A conversation about healthy personal boundaries and more!

We expect this much-anticipated training to fill quickly, so don't wait to call us.
