September is Library Card Sign-Up Month and with the new school year starting, if you bring your 5-7 year-old in for a library card, we'll give them a free early reader book to take home!

*While supplies last

*Child must be at least 5 years old and be able to write their name on the back of the card. Adult, please bring proof of California residency.

Can't wait to see you in there!

Story time for the young ones is every Thursday and Saturday, unless otherwise noted. Come on in sometime.

We have been adding adult and kid books all summer and we wanted to showcase the latest that came in today for the adults. Come by and check out some books! Our hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11:00am - 5:00pm. 😎

Adult patrons: join us at the library today for drop-in crafts. We have supplies to make laminated bookmarks. Make a few and take them home with you! We will have the crafts station available from noon to 4:00 p.m.

Story time at the Weaverville Library tomorrow, August 13th will be cancelled. Our volunteer is unavailable that day, but there will be one this Saturday! Oh, and we're getting a lot of excellent, new, and hilarious children's books over the next month - come check them out! Here are our two favorites:

This Saturday is the last day to turn in your reading log. Our raffles for kid and adult prizes will take place Tuesday, July 28th.

Come bring your kid (young or old) to the Weaverville Library tomorrow at 11am to make a garden bowl! Aren't they adorable?! And come bring in your summer reading sheet saying your kid has read 100 minutes for your single scoop gift card to Up North! 🍨Haven't signed up yet? Come sign up your kid and get a free pass to the pool for an afternoon! 🏊 Aren't these great incentives?! To those who read 400 minutes, there's a guaranteed $15 gift card to Merchant's Mall. 🥳

Remember last July when we told you that we had received $20,000 from the American Library Association's Libraries Transforming Communities grant to help improve accessibility at the library? Thanks to all of your feedback, here are the fruits of all of the labor. We now have:

🌟Automatic doors to the restrooms
💐A new water fountain / water bottle fill station
🌸Automatic faucets in the restrooms
💧Hooks in the big restroom stalls
🌺Plastic covering for the pipes under the restroom sinks
🌼New lighting in the library
🪻Two step stools with handles to more safely reach books high up on the shelves
🍀28 new large print books
💥Headsets and mics to improve hearing capabilities
🌊Two page magnifiers
