Today, our Western Heights Elementary students and staff are wearing BLUE to show that we are UNITED against bullying! 🩵

Every kind word, every helping hand, and every time we choose to include someone makes a difference. Together, we can create a school where everyone feels safe, seen, valued, and accepted. 💙

🔦☀️ Science in action today! ☀️🔦

Today, our 5th graders investigated how the angle and direction of light affect shadows! Students used flashlights, figurines, protractors, and shadow-tracking paper to model different positions of the Sun. They measured and recorded shadow length and direction at angles from 30° to 150°.

We had lots of hands-on learning as students discovered that when the direction of light changes, the direction and length of a shadow change, too! 🌎🌞📏

🌱🪴Our WHES Garden Club is ready to grow!

A BIG thank you to Stine’s in Sulphur for donating their time, soil, and talents to help us get our garden area ready for our first Garden Club meeting. The new wooden planter boxes are the perfect addition, and the whole space looks brand new!

Thank you for helping our students learn, grow, and get their hands in the dirt! We appreciate you!
