Abby joined Reese because someone encouraged her to give it a try. Now, she’s gaining new experiences, meeting new people, and building skills with every call. 🚒

As a firefighter EMT at Reese VFC, Abby says one of her favorite parts is that no two calls are exactly alike. But it's not just the calls that keep things interesting—it’s the people she’s met and the experiences she’s had along the way.

You don’t have to know exactly what you’re looking for before you join. You just have to be willing to take the first step.

Take yours. Come find your crew at Reese VFC.

🔥🚒 Sunday Morning Training

This morning, Reese members traveled to Westminster to participate in a live-fire training exercise hosted by the Westminster Volunteer Fire Department.

Firefighters Dustin Hooper and Lee Flohr responded with Brush 95, along with EMS Lieutenant Jeff Forloines and Firefighter/EMT Katie Steinberg with Ambulance 99, joining personnel from Westminster and other Carroll County fire departments for the day’s training.

Live-fire exercises provide firefighters with an invaluable opportunity to practice essential skills in realistic, carefully controlled conditions. Experiences like these allow members to continue building their skills while also training alongside the personnel and neighboring companies they may one day work beside on an emergency scene.

We appreciate Westminster VFD for providing the opportunity and all those involved in making today’s training possible.

And we’re proud of our Reese members for giving another Sunday morning to training, learning, and being better prepared to serve our community. 🚒🔥

🚒 Carroll County Junior Firefighter Day

Yesterday, our Reese Juniors joined fellow Junior Firefighters from across Carroll County for a day of hands-on training, teamwork, and learning in Fire & EMS.

After spending time preparing and practicing at Reese, it was great to see our Juniors continue building those skills alongside other young people from departments throughout the county who share their interest in the fire and EMS service.

Opportunities like this give our Juniors a chance to learn new skills, build confidence, make connections, and experience what it means to train and work together beyond their own company.

We are incredibly proud of our Reese Juniors for the enthusiasm they bring to learning and for the way they represented our company throughout the day.

A special thank you to our Junior Advisors who gave their time to accompany, encourage, and support them. We also appreciate Carroll County and everyone involved in planning and providing a day dedicated to developing the next generation of the fire and EMS service.

Great job, Juniors! We loved seeing you learn, train, and grow together. ❤️🚒

September Member Training

Earlier this week, our members came together for our September monthly drill, focusing on skills that can make a critical difference on the fireground.

Members worked on search techniques and reviewed emergency procedures for situations in which a firefighter falls through a floor during a fire incident.

Training for situations we hope never happen is an important part of being prepared when they do. Practicing these skills gives our firefighters the opportunity to work through the procedures, reinforce good habits, and build the teamwork needed to respond quickly when one of our own is in trouble.

Regular training keeps our skills sharp, strengthens our team, and helps us operate as safely and effectively as possible when the call comes.

Thank you to our members who continue to give their time to train, learn, and prepare. 🚒

Train together. Work together. Look out for one another.

🚒🍂 FallFest Parade Night!

What a great night at the FallFest Parade!

Last evening, our members were proud to take part in the annual Westminster FallFest Parade!

There’s something special about seeing the streets lined with families, friends, and neighbors as our community comes together for one of Westminster’s favorite fall traditions. 🍁

We always enjoy the opportunity to get our apparatus out, wave to so many familiar faces, and represent Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company alongside our fellow fire and EMS departments and community organizations.

Thank you to everyone who waved, cheered, and said hello along the parade route—and to all those who helped make another FallFest parade possible!

We had a great evening, and we hope to see many of you enjoying the rest of FallFest this weekend! 🚒🍂
