Today, THREE future Airmen and Guardians are heading out to begin their next chapter!

🇫🇯 First up is Anaseini Lewanavanua, originally from Fiji! She is heading off to train as a 2T031 – Traffic Management Operations specialist.

🚀 Next is Aiden Coombs, who is officially on his way to join the United States Space Force as a Guardian, training as a 5S031 – Space Systems Operations specialist.

These first two shippers came to me when I took over processing for the Washington, PA office after their previous recruiter transitioned to his next adventure. Although I was only part of their journeys for a short time, I’m grateful for the opportunity to have supported them through the final stretch and to see them off as they begin their military careers.

🌤️ Last, but certainly not least, is Angela Bailey! I’ve had the privilege of working with her throughout her senior year of high school, and she is now heading off to train as a 1W031 – Weather Operations specialist.

She requested not to be pictured, so I’m honoring her Ship Day with a photo of her signature on my F-22 artwork instead. 💙

Three shippers, three unique career fields, and two military services represented. I’m incredibly proud of each of them and excited to see where their journeys take them.

A very overdue AND a welcome home to Airman Daniel Ross! ✈️🇺🇸

When the call came, Daniel answered without hesitation. With only hours to prepare, he was willing to leave at a moment’s notice and take advantage of an opportunity that ultimately landed him his top job choice. 👀 And no, I can’t tell you what it is… but trust me, it was worth answering the phone.

Because everything happened so quickly, we never got the chance to give him the ship day recognition he deserved. Since then, Airman Ross has successfully completed Basic Military Training and technical training and is officially back home helping me out through the Recruiter Assistance Program (RAP)!

So this shoutout may be a little late, but it is very well deserved.

Congratulations, Airman Ross, on answering the call, accomplishing everything you set out to do, and making it back home to where your Air Force journey started. Welcome home, and welcome to the world’s greatest Air Force! 💙✈️

Today we’re wishing Liam Westfall the very best as he heads off to Basic Military Training to begin his Air Force journey!

A proud 2026 graduate of Edison High School, Liam originally started his enlistment process through our Wintersville office and is now taking the next step toward serving something greater than himself.

He’ll be training to become a 3P0X1 – Security Forces, where he’ll help protect Air Force personnel, resources, and installations around the world.

Liam, it has been awesome to be part of your journey. Thank you for choosing to serve our country. I know you have an exciting road ahead, and I can’t wait to see all you accomplish.

Today we’re wishing Nicholas Lovato the very best as he heads off to Basic Military Training!

A recent graduate of Steubenville High School, Nick competed in both baseball and wrestling before earning his opportunity to serve in the United States Air Force as a 1P0X1 Aircrew Flight Equipment specialist.

In this career field, he’ll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and fitting the helmets, oxygen systems, parachutes, survival kits, and other life-saving equipment that aircrew members depend on every time they fly.

Military service runs deep in his family. Following in the footsteps of his Air Force father, his older brother serving in the Navy, and generations before him, Nicholas is proudly continuing a legacy of service.

Congratulations, Nick! Thank you for answering the call to serve. We know you’ll do great things, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes you.

One of the best pieces of advice I’ve picked up came from my First Sergeant:

“Leaders are readers.”

Lately I’ve been working through Can’t Hurt Me and Never Finished by David Goggins. Whether you agree with all of his methods or not, one message is hard to ignore:

Growth starts when you get comfortable being uncomfortable.

Every book offers a different perspective. Every challenge teaches a lesson. Every setback is an opportunity to improve if you’re willing to learn from it.

Leadership isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about committing to become a little better every day.

So here’s your Monday challenge:

Read a chapter.
Learn something new.
Do one thing today that your future self will thank you for.

Today we recognize Brian King as he begins his journey in the United States Air Force!

Not every path to service follows a straight line. While his process took longer than some, he never lost sight of his goal. Through patience, determination, and a commitment to seeing things through, he continued moving forward one step at a time.

Now, he’s headed to Basic Military Training and will begin training as a 1C5X1 Battle Management Operations specialist, helping provide critical command, control, and coordination capabilities that support air operations around the world.

Your future is built by what you refuse to quit on. Congratulations, Brian, and thank you for answering the call to serve. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish in the years ahead!
