🌪️ The Accidental After-School Party! 🎶🍿

Today’s dismissal came with a little unexpected excitement! Students were safely dismissed just in time, but shortly afterward, a tornado warning sent our teachers, staff, and their families into shelter-in-place mode.

While we waited for the storm to pass and the warning to be lifted, our unexpected guests made the most of the situation—with snacks, music, games, and plenty of good company.

Thankfully, there was no tornado in our immediate area and no damage to our school, and everyone remained safe throughout the storm. We’re grateful for a staff who knows how to keep calm, care for one another, and even turn an unexpected delay into an accidental after-school party. 💙

Come out for an afternoon of friendly competition while helping support an important cause right here in our community!

🥫🧴 ADMISSION: A DONATION TO WHITMORE LAKE AREA HUMAN SERVICES

We’ll be collecting non-perishable food items and toiletries to help stock the shelves at Whitmore Lake Area Human Services and support local families in need.

Bring the family, cheer on your favorite team, and help us see who earns the bragging rights — Police 🚓 or Fire 🚒!

Most importantly, let’s see how much our community can collect for our neighbors!

At Livingston Classical Academy, classical education is rooted in tradition, virtue, and the formation of the whole child.

Students study subjects such as Latin, logic, rhetoric, American history, and our nation’s founding documents, giving them a strong foundation to grow in both knowledge and character.

This summer, Mrs. Thomas, our high school Rhetoric and Modern History teacher participated in the Holocaust Center’s Summer Academy, joining 170 educators for professional development.

The training provided valuable resources and perspectives that will support classroom instruction in topics including World War I and II, propaganda, and the Holocaust.

We appreciate The ZHC staff for the time and expertise they invested in making this valuable professional development opportunity available to educators.

⚾ Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🐯

Livingston Classical Academy high school students are taking learning outside the classroom and heading to Comerica Park for the Classroom Outside Series!

Students will have the opportunity to explore future opportunities at a College Recruitment Fair, then enjoy an afternoon of Major League Baseball as the Detroit Tigers take on the Washington Nationals. 🎓⚾

It’s a great day to connect, learn, and experience the best of Detroit—Go Tigers!
