Joshua took the Metro to Little Tokyo, where he visited the newly opened KinokuniyaLA bookstore
Joshua enjoyed browsing through the wide selection of manga, books, and unique Japanese merchandise, taking his time exploring different sections and discovering new interests 📚📖👾🎮

In addition to visiting the bookstore, Joshua enjoyed walking around Little Tokyo, taking in the sights, and experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of the neighborhood 🗼
Using public transportation helped him continue building his community mobility skills while practicing independence and confidence navigating the community 🚇
Community outings like these provide valuable opportunities to strengthen decision making, social awareness, travel skills, and explore personal interests in meaningful, real world settings.

We are proud to recognize Aldwin for giving back to the community through his volunteer work at The Hope Center’s Serve LA Program in Los Angeles.

As a volunteer, Aldwin helps prepare and serve nutritious meals to individuals experiencing homelessness and others in need. His compassion, dedication, and willingness to serve demonstrate the importance of kindness, responsibility, and community involvement.

Volunteer experiences like these help build confidence, strengthen job skills, and create meaningful opportunities to make a positive impact.
We are incredibly proud of Aldwin for using his time and talents to support others while continuing to grow his own independence and work experience.

Every milestone is worth celebrating, and today Desmond reached an exciting one!
🚌🎶📺
With support from his In2vision PA Anthony, Desmond successfully rode the bus to Best Buy for the very first time.
Building confidence with public transportation is an important step toward greater independence, and he embraced the experience with enthusiasm from start to finish.

Once inside Best Buy, Desmond had an amazing time exploring the electronics department, checking out the giant TVs, and even breaking into a few dance moves as music played throughout the store! His excitement was contagious and reminded us that community experiences are about so much more than reaching a destination.
They’re about creating joyful memories, building confidence, and discovering new interests.

We’re so proud of Desmond for stepping outside of his comfort zone and celebrating this important accomplishment. Here’s to many more adventures ahead!
