At Freeman Elementary, we are working together toward an exciting schoolwide goal: by spring, we aim for 53% or more of our students to be reading fluently on grade level, increasing our fall score by 2%. Students are assessed in the fall, winter, and spring on Fastbridge on the following tests: PK- letter names, Kindergarten-letter sounds, and 1-5th grades- fluency passages.

Reading fluency measures how quickly and accurately a student can read and is an essential foundation for lifelong learning. Our students and staff are putting in great effort every day to reach this milestone and with your help at home, we know our Falcons will soar.

If we meet our goal in the spring, our whole school will enjoy a special trip to the zoo. Thank you for partnering with us to support our readers at home and at school. Together, we can make this goal a reality!
