Juneteenth commemorates freedom delayed, resilience sustained, and progress achieved through generations of courage and perseverance.

As we celebrate this historic day, we honor the legacy of those who fought for freedom and recognize that true equity requires continued action. Health equity, racial justice, and community well-being are deeply connected, and our work is stronger when we center the voices and experiences of those most impacted by systemic barriers.

Today, we celebrate Black history, Black excellence, and the ongoing pursuit of a more just and equitable future for all.

Transgender individuals are disproportionately impacted by HIV, not due to their identity but rather structural barriers like stigma, discrimination, and lack of access to care. When healthcare is affirming and accessible, health outcomes improve. Equity saves lives.

Today, on HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day, we honor the resilience, strength, and contributions of people who have lived through every chapter of the HIV epidemic.

Long-term survivors have witnessed tremendous change, from the early days of uncertainty and stigma to the advances in treatment and prevention that have transformed HIV care. Their experiences, advocacy, and courage have helped shape the response we know today.

As we celebrate progress, we also recognize the unique challenges many long-term survivors continue to face, including aging with HIV, social isolation, stigma, and ongoing health disparities.

Today, we pause to listen, learn, and express our gratitude to the individuals whose perseverance continues to inspire communities across Delaware and beyond.

Your stories matter. Your voices matter. Your legacy matters.

Today, our Care Management and Operations teams joined public health leaders, healthcare professionals, educators, advocates, and policymakers from across Delaware at the 4th Annual Advancing Healthy Lifestyles Conference in Dover.

Hosted by the Delaware Division of Public Health, this year’s conference, Taking Action for Healthier Communities, brought together partners focused on advancing health equity, preventing chronic disease, and improving outcomes for Delawareans.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from experts, share best practices, and strengthen collaborations that support healthier communities. By investing in knowledge, partnerships, and innovation, we can continue delivering high-quality services that meet the evolving needs of those we serve.

Together, we can build a healthier Delaware for everyone.

Happy Pride Month 🌈

This month is about joy, visibility, community, and honoring the people who fought and continue fighting to make the world safer and more equitable for LGBTQ+ communities.

At the Delaware HIV Consortium, Pride is personal. So much of the progress in HIV advocacy, prevention, and care exists because LGBTQ+ communities refused to stay silent, cared for one another during times of crisis, and pushed public health systems to do better.

We know that many LGBTQ+ individuals still face stigma, discrimination, barriers to healthcare, and challenges simply trying to access affirming spaces and services. That is why this work continues to matter so deeply.

This month, we celebrate the resilience, strength, and humanity of LGBTQ+ communities across Delaware and beyond. We also reaffirm our commitment to creating spaces where people feel seen, respected, supported, and connected to the care they deserve.

To everyone celebrating Pride this month: we see you, we support you, and we are proud to stand with you.
