April is National Poetry Month, and we are celebrating with two great programs:
Poetry Open Mic Night
Tuesday, April 21, 6:30 - 8:00
Saxe Room @ Worcester Public Library
Join Irena Kaci from the Worcester County Poetry Association for a night of poetry and good company. Recite your own work or that of a favorite poet. Or just relax and listen. All are welcome. No registration required.
Coffee and... with Robert Frost
A Unique, Interactive Performance by Stephen Collins
Wednesday, April 29, 10:00 - 11:30
Worcester Senior Center
Learn about the life of this complex and often misunderstood poet, then join a discussion of Frost’s poems “A Tuft of Flowers”, “Mending Wall”, “Birches”, “After Apple Picking”, “Acquainted with the Night”, and “Desert Places.” The performance will end with a dramatic reading of “The Death of the Hired Man.”
Co-hosted by Worcester Talking Book Library and Worcester Senior Center.
REGISTRATION REQUIRED: 508-799-1232 to attend. If you wish to stay for lunch, please call 508-799-8070 to register.
Worcester Senior Center is located at 128 Providence Street
