Love the outdoors, ranching atmospheres, and scenic Nevada views? Work where you play at Walker River State Recreation Area. As a Park Aide you'll join a small but dedicated team helping visitors enjoy this incredible park. You’ll assist with visitor services, park maintenance, and cabin upkeep, and landscaping.

What you'll do:
-Keep the park looking its best with custodial and grounds maintenance
- Greet visitors and provide park information
- Help maintain park cabin rentals and campgrounds

What you need:
- A high school education (or equivalent) OR at least six months of work experience
- A valid driver’s license
- A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills

This is a year-round, full time position with onsite housing. Pay starts at $17.71 per hour. Criminal history check and drivers license verification required.

Pitchfork Ranch at Walker River State Recreation Area is looking sharp thanks to our incredible volunteers! 💪

In celebration of America 250, Walker Basin Conservancy and other volunteers, joined us this weekend to plant trees and spruce up the pollinator garden.

Visitors will notice new trees throughout the campground and freshly cleaned trails behind the visitor center.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time to care for these special places.

Volunteer work at The Elbow 💪

If you’ve been to The Elbow at Walker River State Recreation Area recently, you might have noticed all the hard work our America 250 volunteers put in.

We cleared brush, restored some beach access, and even got in a little fishing.

Interested in helping us out? Upcoming service projects include tree planting at Pitchfork Ranch, a shoreline cleanup at Sand Harbor State Park and some Arbor Day fun at Cathedral Gorge State Park.
