This summer, Crafton’s classroom CNTL 238 became the meeting ground for a group of eight determined students to prepare themselves to excel in the upcoming year. From July 27th to August 6th, the Mesa Program and the Mathematics department teamed up to launch Kickstart to Calculus—an eight-day summer bridge pilot program designed to help STEM students jump straight into Calculus I with confidence.

From July 31 through August 2, Crafton Hills College (CHC) Respiratory Care student Christian Brandes visited Texas for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: competing in The SHIFT: Season 2, a reality competition focused on respiratory care.

“I was proud to represent Crafton Hills College and our Respiratory Care program on a platform dedicated to showcasing the profession,” Brandes said.

Contributors to student success at Crafton Hills College through scholarships had the opportunity to meet the students who benefitted from their generosity during the college’s annual Scholarship Reception on August 13.

Foundation President Amy Minjares expressed her appreciation to the donors and announced that this past year the Foundation distributed $332,000 in scholarships! The mission of the Crafton Hills College Foundation is to raise funds that remove barriers, enhance opportunities, and empower student success!

Returning students just pick up a new sticker for the semester!!

To get a new Student ID:
1. Visit the student id application
2. Upload your photo. (Allow 7-10 business days for completion.)
3. Once you receive email notification, stop by the Dept. of Student Life (CCR 153) to pick up your ID.
You can use your Student ID to ride the OmniTrans bus for free!

Crafton Hills College welcomed 7,753 students for the fall 2026 semester, which began Monday, Aug. 24. Students have several new degree and certificate programs to add to their educational options this Fall!

The college is introducing the following new programs:

- Associate in Arts for Transfer in Social Justice Studies (Ethnic Studies)
- Associate in Arts for Transfer in Elementary Teacher Education (Integrated Programs)
- Associate in Science for Transfer in Environmental Science
- Associate in Science degree and certificate in Vocational Nursing
- Associate in Science for Transfer in Law, Public Policy and Society
- Transitional Kindergarten Teacher Certificate
