AHHH THIS MORNING IS GLORIOUS… which means something had to ruin it… 💨We woke up this morning and Yuma actually looked pleasant. Cool air, beautiful skies, no surface-of-the-sun nonsense… honestly, we were getting suspicious. Then the wind showed up. Not because it was invited. Not because anybody asked for it. Rural Metro Fire has 5 engines carrying 1,000 gallons of water each and 4 water tenders carrying 2,000 gallons each. 🚒💦 That’s 13,000 gallons of water sitting around ready to help. But before anyone gets excited and thinks, “Sweet! I can really send this burn pile!”… NO. If you want an expensive water feature for your backyard call a landscaping company otherwise burn responsibly and follow all burn laws. Stay safe and hydrated Yuma County!
