Global fuel, energy and freight costs are putting real pressure on families, but the NDP government is taking action to protect Vincentian households.
Our cost-of-living measures will save motorists approximately EC$1.90 per gallon on gasoline, save diesel users approximately EC$1.45 per gallon, remove EC$1.65M in electricity-related charges, remove 100% of the Customs Service Charge on cooking gas, and help ease pressure on grocery prices.
Practical relief. Responsible action. More support for Vincentians. You will not face these challenges alone.

For too long, too many Vincentians with good ideas, strong work ethic and real business potential have been locked out of opportunity because they could not access the financing needed to grow.
The National Development Bank is part of the NDP Government’s plan to change that.
This is not about old talk and tired excuses. It is about building the institutions that can help small businesses, start-ups, farmers, fishers, creatives, young entrepreneurs and innovators move from survival to expansion.

Ralph said rethink. The NDP is delivering.

A serious country cannot grow if only a few people can access capital. We grow by backing our own people, unlocking enterprise, creating jobs and investing in productive sectors that can carry SVG forward.

For too long, daily paid and minor salaried workers gave years of service without the level of security and recognition they deserved. That is changing.
The NDP Government has moved to introduce the Daily Paid and Minor Salaried Officers Compassionate Gratuity Bill 2026, a major step toward protecting workers who have kept the public service running.
This means compassionate gratuity, retirement flexibility from 60 to 65, and stronger protection for 2,831 public servants.
This is what people centred government looks like.
Your NDP Government at work.

Ralph Gonsalves and his surrogates are trying to sell Vincentians a false story about IMF driven austerity. But facts matter. Since 2016, the IMF signalled that our debt was becoming unmanageable. The height of political dishonesty is to create the hardship, then try to blame the people now cleaning it up. Ralph Gonsalves now wants to pose as a defender of the poor, but the financial constraints facing St. Vincent and the Grenadines today were built over the 25 years that he and his son controlled the country’s finances. Vincentians must reject this dishonest scare campaign from the very people who created the problem.

Even with the dire financial constraints created by years of ULP mismanagement, this Government is focused on growth, not excuses.
Prime Minister Dr. Godwin Friday has outlined a clear path forward, built on private sector led investment, stronger productive sectors, responsible debt management, and fiscal discipline.
Agriculture, tourism, and the blue economy are central to this recovery plan. These are the sectors that can create jobs, generate revenue, attract investment, and help SVG build a more resilient future.
The challenges are real. The debt is real. The pressure is real. And the Vincentian people deserve to know how we got here.

This Government is not hiding from the task. We are committed to rebuilding responsibly, protecting the vulnerable, restoring confidence, and putting St. Vincent and the Grenadines back on a stronger path. The foundation work is being done.:

This is what reform looks like.
Under the NDP Government, St. Vincent and the Grenadines is moving to reduce business registration time from two months to just five business days. That is a major step towards making the country more efficient, more competitive, and more open for business.
For too long, investors faced delays and frustration. Our Government is changing that by removing unnecessary bureaucracy and creating a better environment for investment, enterprise, and job creation. The government is laying the groundwork for more jobs!

Prime Minister Dr. Godwin Friday has made the Government’s position clear. The plan is not to raise taxes on Vincentians. The plan is to make the existing tax system work better, modernise revenue collection, improve compliance, and ensure fairness. For too long, weak enforcement and poor fiscal management by the ULP administration placed the country under serious financial pressure. Now, this NDP Government is taking the responsible path, one that strengthens revenue without placing unnecessary new burdens on families and businesses.
That is the difference between panic and leadership.
