Pothole Patching Programme Begins at Harvey Rd and St Georges St intersection.

Our pothole patching programme started at a high note and making good progress, supported by the newly acquired road maintenance equipment. The improved capacity will help our teams respond faster, repair more potholes, and improve road conditions across the City.

🚧 Strengthening Road Maintenance in Our Municipality 🚧

We are pleased to announce the delivery of new road maintenance equipment to the Municipality, an important investment in improving the condition, safety and accessibility of our roads.

The equipment includes:

🔹 Tar cutters – for efficient road surface cutting and preparation
🔹 Road rollers – for compacting and strengthening repaired road surfaces
🔹 Road sweepers – for keeping road surfaces clean and ready for maintenance
🔹 Plate compactors – for effective compaction of repaired areas
🔹 Cold tar – for pothole repairs and other road maintenance work

This equipment will enhance our capacity to respond to road maintenance needs more efficiently and support ongoing efforts to address potholes and deteriorating road surfaces.

🚧 BOCHABELA’S 11 STREETS ARE BEING PAVED.

Residents of Bochabela are seeing paving work taking place on 11 streets, bringing much-needed improvements to roads that have affected residents for some time.

The important point is that road infrastructure is a basic municipal responsibility and should be delivered consistently, regardless of the political calendar. Municipal planning documents show that road upgrades in Bochabela and other areas have been part of infrastructure programme.

Whether it is election season or not, communities deserve functioning infrastructure, proper planning and consistent service delivery. That is why we should at all times celebrate any progress that benefits our communities.
