🤝 At this year's Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk, Director General Susanne Raab reaffirmed ICMPD’s commitment and long-standing cooperation with Ukraine, ICMPD Member States, and EU Member States and institutions.
🤝Director General Raab highlighted that mobility schemes should be considered within recovery planning, using a human-centred approach that reflects Ukrainians’ needs, capacities, and aspirations.
🤝 Director General Raab discussed Ukraine’s recovery reliance on displaced people, returnees, youth, women, veterans, older workers, and Ukrainian citizens abroad staying connected and involved in economic, civic, and community life.
📌 The side event on diaspora engagement and facilitating voluntary returns gathered EU Special Envoy for Ukraine Ylva Johansson, Ukraine Deputy Minister Ilona Havronska, and representatives from international organisations and diaspora associations.
🤝 Violeta Wagner, Regional Portfolio Manager for ICMPD in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, presented ICMPD’s work on Ukraine’s Migration Strategy beyond 2025.
