Central Inland NSW severe weather - Monitor conditions
The NSW SES advises people in the following area(s) to MONITOR CONDITIONS for forecast heavy rainfall, intense rainfall, Flash flooding:
Canberra
Goulburn
Wagga Wagga
Albury
Deniliquin
Cobar
What are we expecting?
The Bureau of Meteorology advises tropical humidity continues on the eastern flank of a low in the far southwest of the state, resulting in a broad rainband with isolated thunderstorms. This system is moving slowly eastward and is forecast to be over the eastern Riverina by Tuesday morning, with rainfall clearing from the west in its wake.
HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is possible for southeastern parts of the Upper Western, eastern parts of the Lower Western, Central West Slopes and Plains and Riverina, spreading to over the South West Slopes, Southern Tablelands and the ACT during overnight. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 40 to 70 mm are possible.
Locally INTENSE RAINFALL which may lead to DANGEROUS AND LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODING is possible over eastern parts of the Riverina, South West Slopes and Southern Tablelands overnight. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 70 to 90 mm are possible.
The risk of HEAVY, LOCALLY INTENSE RAINFALL is forecast to ease throughout during Tuesday morning.

What you need to do:
Avoid unnecessary travel, move indoors, bring children and pets with you.
Park your car under secure cover and away from trees, powerlines and drains.
If safe to do so, secure or put away items, such as outdoor furniture, trampolines and roofing iron that could blow around in strong winds.
Grab your emergency kit in case you lose power or need to leave your home.
