Social Activities Coordinator – Perm P/T (30 hours/week)

This position provides meaningful social activities for the senior members of the Armidale and surrounding areas which promote and support independence and wellness.
No two days are the same with this position. You will be required to plan and coordinate client social activities, manage volunteers, undertake the required administration of the role and work with the Manager.
A desire to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors is a must and a willingness to have fun is essential.
Once you are settled into the position, the Manager will step back and you will have autonomy in the role, with activity support from the Manager when planned/requested.
You will be required to set-up and re-arrange facilities, such as tables and chairs, so a level of physical fitness is required.
Good computer literacy skills are also required as you will need to be adaptable to the Client Management System along with Microsoft Office suite and web-based applications (Canva, Weebly etc).
Due to the variety of the role, you will need to have exceptional time-management skills and be able to think on your feet and manage things as they arise.
While we have set hours for the client activities, the administration hours can be flexible.

Because Care for Seniors is funded through the CHSP, everyone attending is required to be registered with My Aged Care and have a referral code for Social Support Group. Contact the office for more information on how to register.
