The Berri Swimming Pool, as it was formally known was originally built as a war memorial back in the 60's and has been home for many talented swimmers including Australian swimmer Hayden Stockel. The pool was renamed the Hayden Stoeckel Swimming Pool following the swimmer's bronze backstroke medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Built in the early 60’s the Hayden Stoeckel Swimming Pool has 50m ma

in pool with 2 small leisure pools alongside kiosk and change room facilities. Aside from public swimming the pool is used for VacSwim programs, School Carnivals, Learn to Swim Programs, Inter-town Swimming Competitions, and Club Training. The Berri Swimming Club calls the facility home and over the years has developed a strong membership and performance base. The pool has a cold weather policy in which the center is not open afternoons if the temperature maximum for the day is below twenty five degrees. However it is open on its scheduled mornings regardless. As a part of our conditions of entry any child under the age of thirteen must be accompanied by a responsible person aged seventeen or older.

💖 Marilyn Monroe Cancer Council Swim – Community Event 💖

We’re proud to be hosting the Marilyn Monroe Cancer Council Swim at Hayden Stoeckel Swimming Pool on Sunday 22nd March.

This special event brings our community together to raise vital funds and awareness for the Cancer Council, while honouring strength, resilience, and those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

🏊‍♀️ When: Sunday 22nd March
📍 Where: Hayden Stoeckel Swimming Pool

Whether you’re swimming, supporting, or cheering from poolside, we encourage everyone to get involved and help make a positive impact.

💗 Together, every lap counts.

🌻 Where it all started: Like so many others, founding Marilyn Sarah Tinney first turned to fundraising for Cancer Council SA in 2006 when she found out that her mother, who lived in the USA, was diagnosed with uterine cancer. From the first day of her mother’s diagnosis, Sarah pledged to help raise money to cure cancer in her honour.

And that’s how the Marilyn Jetty Swim was born.
