* Students moving quietly and calmly.

* No gaps between students.
* Students walking straight to their destination.
* Students showing respect for learning by not interrupting other classes.
* Teachers actively reinforcing and modelling the 4S Line while supervising from the back of the line.

🎂 Birthday Celebrations at School

We love celebrating our students’ birthdays at school and helping them feel special on their big day!

To keep birthday celebrations simple and manageable for everyone, families are welcome to send in a small class set of cupcakes purchased from a store or the Tuckshop, or a packet of Zooper Doopers for the class to enjoy.

There is no need to send in toys, lollies, party bags or other gifts. These can create distractions and additional management for teachers during the school day.

Thank you for helping us keep birthday celebrations simple, inclusive and focused on the birthday child. 🎉🎂

🚫 Toys and Trading Cards at School 🎒

A reminder to families that toys and trading cards (including Pokémon cards) should not be brought to school.

While we know these items are exciting for children, they often become lost, damaged, or the cause of disagreements between students. They can also be distracting in the classroom and during learning time.

To help keep our school focused on learning and positive play, we ask that all toys and trading cards remain at home.

🇯🇵✨ Today we had the pleasure of welcoming students and staff from Haga Elementary School, one of our wonderful Japanese sister schools, to Ironside State School!

We were delighted to host 11 students and 5 adults, and our school community gave them a warm Ironside welcome during a special ceremony. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate friendship, cultural exchange and the connections we have built across the years.

💙 Be sure to ask your child:
• Did you see the welcome ceremony?
• Did you meet any of our visitors from Japan?

These conversations are a fantastic way to extend your child’s learning and appreciation of different cultures.

We’re also excited to share that two more of our Japanese sister schools will be visiting over the next few weeks. We can’t wait to continue strengthening these special international partnerships!

🇦🇺 A big shout out to our amazing Year 6 students and staff as they head off to Canberra on Monday!

We know this will be an unforgettable experience filled with learning, discovery and plenty of wonderful memories. We can’t wait to hear all about your adventures and the new knowledge you’ll bring back to share with us.

We’ll miss having you around Ironside while you’re away, but we’re so excited for this incredible opportunity.

Today we celebrated 100 incredible days of learning, growing and shining in Prep! 🌟

From mastering new skills and making wonderful friendships to building confidence and showing our STAR expectations every day, our Prep students have achieved so much in just 100 days.

Our amazing Prep staff are incredibly proud of every child and the progress they’ve made. Their curiosity, resilience and enthusiasm for learning make every day a joy.
