🌟 Term 3 at Ironside State School! 🌟

As Term 3 comes to a close, we are incredibly proud of everything our students, staff and community have achieved together.

It has been a busy and memorable term, filled with learning, connection and plenty of opportunities to celebrate. From the excitement of Cross Country 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ and the colour and creativity of our Book Week celebrations 📚✨, to engaging incursions and learning experiences, our students have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm.

Alongside these special events, we have continued to see strong learning results and wonderful growth across our school. We are so proud of the effort, persistence and positive attitude our students bring to their learning each day.

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff, supportive families and wonderful students who make Ironside such a vibrant school community.

We wish all of our Ironside families a safe, happy and restful holiday break. Enjoy some well-earned time together, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for another exciting term! 💙

Happy holidays, Ironside! 🌿📚 ☀️

Oh and don’t forget to empty out school bags and lunchboxes! ☺️

🌟 Prep 2027 – Our Journey Begins! 🌟

Today we welcomed the first round of our Prep 2027 families for enrolment interviews. 💙

It was so lovely meeting some of the newest members of our school community and, most importantly, our future Preppies!

Starting school is such an exciting milestone, and our focus is on helping every child feel happy, confident and ready for Prep. These first conversations give us the opportunity to get to know each child, learn about their strengths and interests, and begin building strong partnerships with families.

We can’t wait to welcome more of our Prep 2027 cohort over the coming weeks and support them as they get Prep Ready! 🎒📚⭐

The countdown to a wonderful first year of school has begun! 💙

✨ Thank You, Future Prep 2027 Families! 💙🤍

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Prep 2027 Information Night. It was wonderful to meet so many excited families and share what makes Prep at Ironside such a special place to learn and grow.

Some of our key messages included:
⭐ No homework in Prep – we value family time, play and real-life experiences.
⭐ Everyday conversations build the oral language skills that are the foundation for learning to read.
⭐ Encouraging independence at home helps children transition confidently to school.
⭐ Every child is unique, and we’ll meet them where they are at, supporting their individual learning journey.
⭐ Once children know the code, they’ll begin taking home decodable readers that match what they’ve been explicitly taught in class.

Our next opportunity to visit is our Open Classroom Morning on Saturday, 22 August! 🏫

Come along to:
💙 Meet our wonderful Prep 2027 teachers.
💙 Explore our learning spaces.
💙 See our classrooms in action.
💙 Ask questions and experience what it means to Ignite at Ironside.

We can’t wait to welcome more future Ironside families!
