🎉 WE DID IT, BAKEWELL! 🎉

As part of our whole-school positive behaviour recognition program, students have earned OVER 4,000 Kitchen Kudos this term!

That means we’ve smashed our whole-school goal, and it’s time to celebrate with a Whole School Themed Dress Up Day!

Now students get to USE THEIR KUDOS TO VOTE for our celebration theme:

Voting starts tomorrow, with the winner announced Friday! The winning theme will take over Bakewell on Wednesday of Week 10! 🎉

🎉 What a day of celebrations at Bakewell! 🎉

Today, we acknowledged our hardworking LSAs, welcomed Marie-Clare Boothby MLA to present the Term 3 All-Rounder Awards and celebrated students who have reached new Chef Levels! 👏👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

We also discovered that we now have two Master Chefs and another class has earned its very first Michelin Star! ⭐

The big question is… what reward will they choose? 🤔

🌟 Teacher Aide Appreciation Week 🌟

Today, we acknowledged and celebrated our amazing Learning Support Assistants!

5 Gaffney created a thoughtful video for their assembly item, giving students the opportunity to share what they appreciate about our LSAs and the many ways they support them.

A big thank you to all our LSAs for everything you do for our students and teachers. We appreciate you!

🚌Year 6 Excursion🏛

Our Year 6 students had the opportunity to visit Northern Territory Parliament House as part of our Civics and Citizenship learning.

During their visits, students learnt more about the preferential voting system used in Australian elections, visited the Parliamentary Chamber, explored the history of Parliament House and had the opportunity to ask questions of government ministers.

The excursions provided an authentic learning experience that added depth and context to the knowledge students have been developing in the classroom, helping them connect their Civics and Citizenship learning to the real-world workings of government.

A fantastic opportunity for our Year 6 students to see democracy and government in action!
