Another lovely visit to Barongarook Gardens for our Preps, this time celebrating “Nature Book Week” with the residents.
We spent our time singing about spiders & rabbits, reading about wombat poo & playing 'Go Fish!' 🐠
We all had so much fun!

We had a fantastic day in Ballarat at the Greater Western Athletics competition today!
All 9 of our qualifying students were amazing, giving their personal best, displaying terrific sportsmanship, and entertaining us with their talent.
We had fantastic results all round!!
A special mention to Mackenzie who placed first in triple jump, with a jump of 8.87m and Nate, 2nd in long jump with 3.98m.
Both have qualified for the State finals!! 💙🤍

What a wonderful visit to “Barongarook Gardens” today for the Preps.
We did some relaxation exercises together, sang rhymes, made amazing animal noises singing “Old McDonald” with the residents using hand puppets, and worked together on some mindfulness colouring.

Another popular Book Week activity - we vote for our favourites short-listed book!

Everybody loved “Derek” in the early childhood category - that’s the fish that pooed 💩.
“Dear Broccoli” & “Bob and Dob” are our winners in the Picture Book category.
Lots of kids don’t like broccoli? 🥦 🥦
We love the bright funny books at EPS 🤣🤣🤣

Last week we had Poppy Stevens from Geelong Venom NBL team visit our school as part of the Basketball Victoria 'Play your way' initiative.

This program aims to engage more than 20,000 girls across Victoria over a 2-year period, with qualified coaches delivering clinics that teach basic basketball skills to girls of all abilities, and to give them an opportunity to try basketball in a fun and welcoming environment.

These FREE clinics are a great opportunity for schools to help engage girls who are interested in basketball or those who would like to give the sport a try.

Our girls LOVED their session with Poppy, and we're hoping she's inspired some stars of the future!

For 12 weeks at EPS we’ve been counting down to Book Week, reading the short listed picture books in the running for Book of the Year!

We’ve learnt about frogs, who likes broccoli, being honest, how fun grandpas are, getting lost in Paris, what’s waking up at dawn & about a fish who did an enormous poo in his bowl!
Reading is so much fun 😁

This Friday we find out the winners and next week, Book Week begins!

Happy Principal's Day to the one in the bright pink suit!

On behalf of the school community, we’d like to extend our most sincerest thankyou to Mrs Hall for everything you do to make our school so special!

May your coffee stay forever warm ☕️☕️
