In its first year (2017) $60,000 was distributed back into the local community and every year thereafter. The Geraldton Community Bank branch opened in 2009, following a three-year campaign beginning with $800‚000.00 in pledges being reached by mid-October 2007. Following a feasibility study, Midwest Community Enterprises Limited was formed, and preparation for a new branch was begun in 2008.
