On Friday, we celebrated Wear It Purple Day. This day is a powerful reminder to reflect on how we can foster safe, inclusive, and empowering environments for LGBTQIA+ youth, students, and staff.
This year’s theme, ‘Colours of courage’, celebrates the many forms of bravery shown every day by LGBTQIA+ young people, allies, and communities.

Yesterday, our students proudly showcased their talents at the Hilltop Art Show, with this year’s theme, "My Place." The exhibition featured extraordinary works from Ajuga, Campbell House, and Glenfield Park, each piece reflecting our students’ unique perspectives and connections to their world.

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents, carers, and guests who joined us to support our young artists and strengthen our school community. Your support is invaluable and motivates our students to pursue their artistic passions.

We also extend special thanks to the Campbell House School music group for their captivating performance, creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the event.

We look forward to continuing to celebrate and support the artistic talents of our students, as they share their stories and inspire us all through art.

Yesterday, our Year 10 and 11 students, along with their parents and carers, came together for an important meeting about TAFE course options available for their studies in 2027.

The strong attendance truly reflects the incredible support for our CHS students as they plan to continue their learning journey into their senior years. We’re excited to see our students exploring pathways that will help them achieve their future goals!

This term, Campbell House School is launching a whole-school Writing Sprint to strengthen our students’ confidence and skills as writers.

Students will have regular opportunities to write across all learning areas, helping them build the skills they need to communicate clearly and effectively. At the same time, our teachers and School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs) will work together to develop consistent strategies for supporting paragraph writing across the school.

We’re excited to see every student grow as a writer this term and look forward to celebrating their progress along the way.

Campbell House School have had a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for a number of years and it plays a key part in laying the foundation for how we support our First Nations students, as well as growing an informed, respectful student body.

Each year we reflect on our progress and set new goals so that our plan remains relevant to our current school community. We are happy to share we are on track for our 2026 RAP which focuses on embedding authentic cultural experiences for all of our students.

We ended Term 2 with another one of our fantastic annual NAIDOC celebrations. Elders and community members joined us for a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures as students learnt First Nations dances, sport games, and made t-shirts they could take home with them. This day is always a highlight for our community, and thank-you to all who helped make it possible. See you at the 2027 celebration!

Today marked the final visit of our SRC students at Campbell House with their literacy buddies from Glenwood PS for Term 2!

Our students enjoyed reading with their younger friends and helped them work through a fun cloze passage worksheet about frogs. The interaction was respectful and positive all around.

One of our CHS students shared some wise advice with a younger student: "We come to school to learn, not use our phones."

We’re so proud of the meaningful connections and great learning happening between our schools! Looking forward to more great moments next term
