The Boyz are back. Barry Bothways and Gary Snow are ready to help you unleash your inner rock star (or expert-level dance moves).

This time, they are doing more than just creating a safe, fun space. They are playing barber to help Heidi Hole and Peef Cake wind up their World’s Greatest Shave fundraiser.

The Big Shave:
Heads are being shaved at 8:30pm.

The Tunes:
Karaoke kicks off at 6:30pm.

The Courage:
The Welcome Swallow is open from 12pm, giving you plenty of time to find that courage to sing, if that’s your secret weapon. Truthfully the boyz are there to support you in any way

The Truth:
No skill level needed—just a good time.

It’s International Trans Awareness Day. International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) is celebrated annually on March 31 to honor the achievements, pride, and lives of transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse people worldwide.

Trans individuals have made significant, trailblazing achievements across science, politics, sports, and activism.

Today we acknowledge trans folk as vital, contributing human beings who have made, and continue to make, the world a better place for all humanity.

Barry Bothways , Gary Snow are the Back Door Boyz and sometimes the Front Door Girls.

February is pride month in Tassie. There’s loads on all over the island. Check it out on the TasPride website.
Over February you will find me at, the launch of Pride Film Fest in Burnie, Party In The Park in Hobart, King Karaoke in New Norfolk and the Mardi Gras viewing party at The Wagon in North Hobart and who knows where else!

TasPride Summer Festival

February is Tasmanian Pride Month and TasPride’s online festival guide is now available. www.taspride.com

Glossy printed versions will be available from LGBTIQA+ and allied cafes, venues, and organisations such as Working It Out Inc and TasCAHRD very soon.

Our online Festival Guide is where you’ll find ticket links and contact details for TasPride and other participating festival events.

You can also now register for the Pride Parade on the 14th of February 2026.
