Come along and help us celebrate Foster & Kinship Care Week with a fantastic day for the whole family! 🥳💕

📅 Saturday, 12 September 2026
📍 Camp Clayton, Ulverstone.
⏰ 10:30am – 2:30pm

There’ll be fun kids’ activities and games, crafts, face painting and more, plus a delicious BBQ lunch, ice cream and coffee! 🍦☕️
It’s also a wonderful opportunity to connect with other foster and kinship families, enjoy some relaxed family time and celebrate the amazing contribution carers make every day. ❤️

🎟️ There’ll be a raffle and special carer thank-you gift too!

September is a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate our incredible foster and kinship carers, raise awareness of the importance of child protection, and strengthen the connections that support children, young people and families across Tasmania. 💜

We have a fantastic line-up of events happening across the state, and we would love to see carers and colleagues involved.

These events are about connection, celebration, recognition and community – acknowledging the incredible contribution of foster and kinship carers and shining a light on the importance of safe, supportive environments for every child and young person.

💜 Come along, connect with others and help us celebrate the people who open their homes, hearts and lives to children and young people.

Foster and Kinship Carers Association Tasmania would love to recognise and celebrate those incredible members who have made a long-standing contribution to our association. 💛

If you have been an active FKAT member for 15 years or more, you may be eligible for Life Membership — and you can nominate yourself or another deserving member!

This is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the dedication, commitment and contribution of carers who have been part of our FKAT community over many years. ❤️

💙💛 Foster Care Week 2026 – Celebrating Our Amazing Carers 💛💙

Southern events!

Foster Care Week is a wonderful opportunity to recognise, celebrate and thank the incredible foster, kinship and informal carers who open their homes and their hearts to children and young people.

Being a carer can come with challenges, but the difference carers make every single day is enormous. Sometimes it’s the little things — a safe home, a listening ear, a warm meal, a bedtime story or simply being there — that can make the biggest difference in a child’s life. ❤️

This year we have some special opportunities to come together in the South, connect with other carers and celebrate the amazing contribution carers make across Tasmania.

This is a great opportunity to come together, hear about the work of FKAT over the last year, hear the announcement of successful board nominees, and connect with others who share a passion for supporting children, young people and carers across Tasmania. ❤️
