This week at Bloom, we’ll be enjoying Paint by Numbers — no artistic skills or experience needed! Simply choose your colours, have a paint, enjoy a cuppa and connect with other women in a welcoming and supportive space.

At 12pm (midday) alerts will be sent to mobile devices across the country as part of a national test of the new AusAlert emergency warning system.

During today's test mobile devices - including phones, tablets and smartwatches - will vibrate and make a siren noise for around 10 seconds.

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻.

If you have a Safe Phone and you are worried about today's alert, follow these steps:
📲Turn your mobile device off or place it in aeroplane mode as soon as possible.
✈️Keep it off or in aeroplane mode for 24 hours.

Please remember that Silent and Do Not Disturb settings will not stop the AusAlert test from reaching your phone, as the alert overrides these settings.

⚠️𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀⚠️

You might have been hearing a lot about AusAlert these last few weeks. It’s a new national warning system that sends emergency messages to mobile devices including phones, tablets and watches.

It’s meant to be a quick and reliable way of keeping Australians informed so they can act quickly in an emergency.

On Monday 27 July at 12pm (midday) the Australian Government will be conducting a national test of the system.

During the test, all compatible mobile devices around the country will vibrate and make a loud siren-like noise for about 10 seconds.

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀.

If you are worried about receiving the national test alert on Monday, please follow these steps:

1. One hour before the test – Turn off your mobile device or put it in aeroplane mode. 📞✈️
2. Keep your mobile device off or in aeroplane mode for 24 hours.

You could also give your Safe Phone to a trusted person for the day while they run this test.

Turning your phone to Silent or Do Not Disturb will not stop the alert - the AusAlert test will bypass these settings.
