9 DAYS TO GO π
The Senate Inquiry into epilepsy in Australia is now due to report on 17 September 2026.
Over recent months, people living with epilepsy, families, carers, clinicians, researchers and organisations from across Australia have shared their experiences, expertise and hopes for change.
Epilepsy Australia has been present at hearings around the country, listening to the evidence and hearing first-hand the many ways epilepsy affects peopleβs lives β through health care, disability, education, employment, mental health, family life, regional access, research and support.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to this Inquiry.
The reporting date may have changed, but the importance of this moment has not.
In nine days, the Committee is expected to table its report and recommendations. We look forward to reading them carefully and to continuing to work constructively across the epilepsy community, with governments and with all stakeholders, to help turn the Inquiryβs findings into meaningful change.
Your voices matter. Meaningful change matters.
