Recently volunteers conducted a hazardous launch, during the night, safely deploying our rescue boat from the riverbank where no boat ramp was available 🚤

Using we were able to connect directly with the person requiring assistance and identify their exact location. The platform has divided the world into 3m x 3m squares assigning each square a unique combination of three words. These three words act like a simple location code, allowing emergency services and responders to pinpoint an exact set of coordinates quickly and accurately. 📲 https://what3words.com/

We love days like this — coming together and collaborating with the other local emergency services to connect with our community 🚒🚑🚓🧡

Emergency Services Day is always a great reminder of the strong partnerships across our region and the shared commitment we all have to keeping the community safe.
