🏊♀️💙 Three great weeks of school swimming at Mossman Pool!
Over the past three weeks, we’ve been pleased to welcome Prep to Year 6 students from Mossman State School to Mossman Pool for their school swimming program.
It’s been great to see the pool full of activity as students built their skills, confidence and enjoyment in the water, before wrapping up the program with two fantastic carnival days.

Ilonka has been teaching since 2008 and has led the school swimming program for the past five years, supporting students as they develop their confidence and swimming skills.

As Mossman State School’s Physical Education teacher, Abigail coordinated the program and helped bring together three weeks of swimming, learning and participation.

Lisa is a Learn to Swim teacher and lifeguard at Mossman Pool and has supported the school swimming program alongside Ilonka for the past five years.
🎉 The program concluded with senior students taking part in their carnival on Thursday, followed by the junior carnival on Friday.
Whether students were racing, challenging themselves to try something new or simply enjoying being involved, it was great to see so much enthusiasm around the pool.
School swimming plays an important role in building water safety, confidence, resilience and enjoyment of the water, and we’re always pleased to provide a facility where local schools can deliver these important programs.
👏 Congratulations to all the students, teachers and staff involved in a successful three weeks.
