🐍 GREAT SNAKES! 🐍

Marble Bar is renowned for its incredible heat, and while many animals struggle to cope, snakes seem to thrive in these arid conditions!

Here’s a fascinating blast from the past:

β€œGREAT SNAKES!” one of the carpet snake variety caught on Yarrie Station near Marble Bar, WA, on Thursday, 2 April 1925. This giant snake was reportedly caught around 73 kilometres (45 miles) north-east of Marble Bar!

You can only imagine the surprise of coming across a carpet python of this size out in the Pilbara πŸ˜†

Have you spotted any snakes locally? Were they quite this big?
