A sincere thank you to GM3 for their generous donation recently of specialised filler hoses to the Brigades that attended a bush fire near Appin North Colliery in September.

These hoses are specifically designed to enable our firefighting appliances to connect directly to private bulk water tankers, enhancing water supply capabilities and operational efficiency during incidents.

Thank you to GM3 for their generosity and continued support of our local firefighters!

Could you be part of the next generation of RFS communications?

The Southern Highlands Communications Brigade is looking for new members, and we’re particularly keen to hear from young people who want to learn new skills, meet new people and make a genuine difference in their community.

Communications plays a vital role during emergencies. Behind every crew in the field is a team helping keep information moving, resources coordinated and our firefighters connected when it matters most.

If you’re a young person looking for a challenge, a sense of purpose and a unique way to volunteer with the RFS, the Southern Highlands Communications Brigade could be the place for you.

Come and be part of the next generation keeping our crews connected.
