A great catch up this morning with the GM Damien @ The Elanora Hotel. Wonderful supporters of Locals and an ongoing commitment to Marine Rescue Brisbane Water.

The support of the Elanora allows us to maintain our operations from our Point Clare base and provide assistance to the boating community of the Central Coast. Saving Lives at Sea.

Red watch this weekend conducting familiarisation of MR26 helm and mooring then making sure all boats are full for the next watch. Just another typical Sunday for our volunteers.

For National Volunteer Week we are taking the opportunity to recognise the many volunteers who help Marine Rescue Brisbane Water thrive.

Our volunteers contribute in countless ways across our community and are always willing to give a hand to those in need.

Thank you to both our operational and fundraising members who are highly visible to the public, and all those working behind the scenes maintaining our base and keeping training, admin, finance, and technology ticking over like clockwork.

This week, and every week, we celebrate the people whose time, effort and generosity help save lives on the water around the Central Coast.

A Marine Wind Warning is in place for much of the East coast over the next few days with swell also expected to reach 4-5 meters in some locations. It is recommended the public avoid boating, swimming or Rock Fishing.

Please follow advice below to stay safe, failure to do so not only puts yourself in danger but also risks the safety of your potential rescuers.
