Reading connects us all: be part of the story!

Libraries Tasmania is celebrating Tasmania Reads from Sunday 22 to Saturday 28 March 2026.

Tasmania Reads is an annual week-long celebration of reading and stories in all forms, now in its fourth year. The week is filled with fun reading inspired events and activities for all ages at libraries, schools and organisations across Tasmania.
Be part of the story by attending an event, including author talks, book launches, children’s storytime, pop-ups at community events and more. You can even create and run your own event or activity.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week 16th – 20th March

“When it comes to inclusion, neurodiversity refers to a world where neurological differences are recognised and respected as all other human variations”.

Founded by Siena Castellon in 2018, Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. It aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, universities, organisations, and others around the world with the opportunity to recognise the many skills and talents of neurodivergent individuals, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual.

It’s World Hearing Day, and the 2026 theme is - From communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children.

Act now so no child is left behind due to ear or hearing problems.

Hearing loss in children is more common than many realise — with around 90 million young people worldwide affected. Many cases go undetected, even though common causes like middle ear infections and impacted ear wax are often preventable or treatable. When hearing loss isn’t identified early, it can impact speech, language, learning, social development, and future opportunities.

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately… but for all the right reasons 😊

The Inclusion Agency team has been busy behind the scenes preparing for the year ahead - out and about visiting services, getting to know new teams, supporting children as they settle into new room transitions, and responding to new requests for support.

It’s such a buzzing time of year in early childhood education and care, and we’ve genuinely been enjoying being alongside educators and children as new relationships form. We’re looking forward to sharing more practical content soon to continue supporting inclusive practices across our community.
