🏅 NORTH QUEENSLAND ATHLETICS TRIALS

Congratulations to all our Brumbies who competed at the North Queensland Athletics Trials last week. A fantastic effort from every athlete who represented Northern Beaches SHS!

A special mention to Chloe and Zane, who have been selected for the North Queensland team. They will travel to Brisbane in Term 4 to compete at the QRSS State Track and Field Championships.

🖤💛❤️ Celebrating NAIDOC Week at Northern Beaches SHS

Our school community came together for a special NAIDOC Week Assembly this week as part of NAIDOC Week, celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, achievements and contributions.

We were incredibly fortunate to welcome the Wulgurukaba Walkabouts Dance Troupe, who shared culture and connection through a powerful performance for our students and staff. 🌿

A highlight of our celebrations was recognising our Deadly Northern Beaches Students – acknowledging the achievements, leadership and positive contributions of our First Nations students within our school community. 👏🏽

We also proudly presented QATSIF Graduation Certificates to our graduating First Nations students, recognising an important milestone in their educational journey.

We are proud to celebrate the strength, culture, leadership and achievements of our First Nations students and the important place they hold within our Northern Beaches community.

Term 3 Block Sport is well underway, and our Open Mixed Brumbies Netball team continues to impress!

A huge shoutout to our staff members who stepped onto the court yesterday afternoon after the opposing team forfeited. The staff put up a strong fight, but our students claimed the win, 29–12!

Well done to everyone involved—and thank you to our staff for ensuring the team still enjoyed some valuable game time! 👏

📚✨ BOOK WEEK FUN AT NORTHERN BEACHES! ✨📚

Our staff certainly understood the assignment! 🎭📖

To celebrate Book Week, our staff swapped their usual school-day attire for some fantastic costumes inspired by favourite books and characters. From the creative to the clever — and perhaps a few costumes that required a little explaining! 😂 — it was great to see everyone getting into the spirit.

A huge shout-out to our staff for bringing plenty of colour, laughs and a little literary magic to Northern Beaches SHS! ❤️📚
