Local government elections are coming up this October - “Yay another election, just what I was hoping for,” did I hear you say? 🤣

The past four years have flown by, I’m still so grateful that you had trust in me to be a local government leader and it’s a role I take seriously.

I have grown and learned a lot in the last four years and I am proud of what we have achieved as a council as well as the representation I have personally made on behalf of you, the residents.

I still stand for all of the things I did four years ago, my values haven’t changed. I’ll still stand up for families, youth, business, the environment, better liveability and sustainable progress.

With 4 years experience, I have a better understanding of how local government works, however, I understand there is always so much more to learn.

This coming election I’ll be putting my hand up for Deputy Mayor of the Central Coast Council. I’m ready for this and I really hope I have your support to take on the role.

It’s only early days and it’s a few months until the election, but I’ve been asked a few times now so thought I’d make it public.

Thank you again for your faith, encouragement and support. I will continue to represent our community with integrity, fairness, balance and a willingness to think creatively and differently when tackling challenges.

I love this community and look forward to continuing to serve it.

Kate

Have your say on the future of active transport in Central Coast 🚴‍♀️🚶🏃

🚶‍♀️🚲👩‍🦽‍➡️Have your say on the Draft Active Transport Strategy

A community member recently summed up something many of us value about Central Coast: “One of the best things about Ulverstone and Central Coast is being able to walk to a huge range of services and recreation without needing a car.”

This Strategy is about protecting and improving those everyday connections, so it’s safer and easier to walk, ride, wheel and get around.

This is your opportunity to review the Draft Strategy and provide feedback before it goes to Council.
