🌊 Have your say on the future of the Ulverstone waterfront

What do you love about the Ulverstone waterfront? What could be better? And what would you like to see there in the future?

The Ulverstone Waterfront Master Plan Community Values Survey is now open, and we want to hear from you.

The Master Plan will help guide the future of the waterfront over the next 20 years. Your feedback will help us understand how people use the area, what the community values about it today, and what should be considered as we plan for its future.

Whether you visit the waterfront every day or only occasionally, your experience and ideas matter.

Complete the survey by 27 September 2026 and you can enter the draw to win a Leven River Forest Nature Trail Cruise for two, valued at $485.

🚨 DATES UPDATED: Please note this work will now take place over two days, Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September🚨

🚧 Planning for a safer Wilmot Road

Council is planning safety improvements to a bend on Wilmot Road, approximately 5.5 km south of Forth. Black Spot funding has been secured to help address pavement deterioration and improve safety for road users.

To help guide the design, crews will carry out ground investigations on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September, from approximately 8am-5pm. This section of road will remain open, with traffic reduced to one lane.

Please allow a little extra travel time and follow traffic management directions.

Thank you for your patience as we prepare for these improvements.

Last year’s inaugural winner, Complete Care Pharmacy Penguin, showed that accessibility can take many forms, from a drive-through collection service and daily quiet hour to understanding and responding to the different needs of customers.

Brand Tasmania is inviting people to take part in a short survey about their experience of living in Tasmania.

♻️ $3 million upgrade to improve Lobster Creek Resource Recovery Centre

The first stage of a major upgrade to the Lobster Creek Resource Recovery Centre is moving ahead.

The project will include a new covered resource recovery area, new weighbridges and changes designed to make the site safer and easier to use.

The centre will remain open during construction, although visitors may notice temporary changes to traffic flow, unloading areas and access as works progress.

The new weighbridges will also allow loads to be measured more accurately, supporting a clearer and fairer charging system based on weight.

🛣️ Works to improve safety, sightlines and access along Allens Road at Memorial Park have now been completed. The project included road widening, drainage improvements, and access upgrades to support safer movement through the cemetery.

👀 It's what you can't see that counts: Beneath the upgraded road, more than 50 metres of new underground drainage was installed to help manage stormwater and improve the long-term performance of Allens Road.

🚗 Safety: To help maintain safety for all visitors, motorists are reminded not to park along Allens Road. Parking on the road reduces visibility and creates safety risks for drivers, pedestrians and visitors entering and leaving Memorial Park.

Please use designated parking areas within the cemetery.
