Ulverstone Surf Life Saving Club

Ulverstone Surf Life Saving Club Fostering Aquatic Safety, Community, Lifesaving Excellence & Surf Sports since 1928. We also provide water safety for special events in our region.

Our club has a long history and has served the Ulverstone community since 1928. The club is a great place for kids to learn valuable life saving skills and develop life long friendships. USLSC provides scheduled life saver patrols on Buttons Beach, Ulverstone, between December and March of each summer, and deploys roving patrols to nearby areas. Our qualified Trainers and Assessors improve the ski

lls of our member volunteers through organised training sessions and courses. These services are also available by request to organisations, businesses and community groups who require these skills

The clubhouse is a sought after venue in prime location for weddings, celebrations, corporate events and private functions, with complete bar facilities, commercial kitchen and catering facilities, and audio-visual capabilities. We have plentiful free car parking, disabled access (a lift provides access to our upper level) and magnificent views over Bass Strait.

They give up their weekends, wake up before sunrise, train for the unpredictable, and step up when others need help most.

This National Volunteer Week, we’re recognising the volunteer surf lifesavers from across the state who help keep our beaches safe and our communities strong ❤️💛

Thank you for every patrol, every rescue, every act of service, and for everything you do behind the scenes to make a difference! 👏

We remember and pay respect to all who served and currently serve.
We hope that we honour the ANZAC spirit of service, courage, and mateship through our surf lifesaving volunteering.
We know that these values are inclusive of all Australians.

Lest we forget.

Wishing all USLSC members, family, followers, sponsors and visitors a safe and happy Easter.

Former Ulverstone Surf Life Saving Club member and Tasmanian state champion board paddler Dan Norton-Smith () has returned to competition, winning gold in the Masters 50–54 board rescue at the Aussies. 🥇

Dan joined Ulverstone SLSC at just six years old and was part of the club’s dominant board, ski, and swim team before moving to Queensland at the age of 20.

Now representing Currumbin Surf Life Saving Club, where he coaches the Nippers, his comeback is a powerful reflection of lifelong dedication to the sport.

✨ Nipper Awards Night ✨

Almost 150 guests packed our clubhouse last night to celebrate what has been a truly magnificent year for our club.
Nights like this are a great reminder of what makes our club so special, as we continue striving to be our best by developing the next generation of surf life savers ❤️💛💚

👏 Congratulations to all of our surf certificate and award winners, your hard work, determination and team work is recognised - well done!

A huge thank you to Urban Surf + Co for the amazing prizes, and to all of our Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors for your support throughout the year. We are incredibly grateful.

Events of this scale simply do not happen without the hard work of so many people behind the scenes.

A massive thank you to Kurt and Leigh for their work in the kitchen and coordinating the evening, everyone who helped clean up, worked behind the bar, served food and drinks, and all those who continue to help not just on presentation night, but across the entire year.

We also want to recognise the many people who make our season possible every single week; our volunteers, water safety crew, age managers, team managers, coaches, sign in and sign out helpers, Nemo gear cleaners, board washers, and board towing families.

This successful season would not have been possible without every one of you. Your time, effort and support are what keep this club strong.
