During training at Kapooka, recruits learn battlefield first aid, or Tactical Care of the Combat Casualty (TCCC).

Recently, 1 and 2 Platoon, Alpha Company, put these skills into practice under pressure during a realistic training scenario.

Soldier training at Kapooka builds both mental and physical resilience, developing the combat behaviours that enhance survivability.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Warrant Officer Class Two Lachlan Muddle, who tragically lost his life in a training accident.

Warrant Officer Class Two Muddle spent time at Kapooka as a Physical Training Instructor and Recruit Instructor, and valued the investment in generating good soldiers. He was known for his professionalism, courage, mateship and dedication to duty.

His legacy and service to the nation will long be remembered at the Home of the Soldier.

Walking through history ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ

Recruits from 23 and 24 Platoons Charlie Company visited the Australian War Memorial โ€” reflecting on the sacrifice, service, and legacy of those who came before them.

24 Platoon also had the privilege of meeting General the Hon David Hurley AC CVO DSC (Retd) who shared memories from his time as the Platoon Commander of 24 Platoon early in his Army career.

13 and 14 Platoons have been in the field doing patrols, urban clearances, and counter UAS drills.

They're digging in and developing defensive positions - reinforcing combat behaviours under pressure.

We're preparing soldiers to adapt to the modern battlefield with realistic training.

Recruits will march out this Friday as the first cohort to be trained under the new 13 weeks program.
