RRL Reads: A Little Unwell by

Set in Melbourne, ‘A Little Unwell’, follows Amy, a young doctor working through her emergency department rotation.
Amy has always aspired to be a doctor, working towards the goal since high school, but now that she is in her second year working in a hospital, she is starting to wonder if all her work has been worth it.
I picked up this book because I had read another review recommending it, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s both funny and heartwarming with very realistic characters. Kerry Jewell’s medical background is really evident in all the details she includes in the book which gives readers an interesting insight into the medical system from a doctor’s point of view but doesn’t weigh down the narrative.
I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Australian fiction and wants to discover a new author.

The factory made a beautiful venue for our first ever Book Club LIVE event on Friday night.
With its high timber ceilings, beautiful arched windows and rustic decor, it was the perfect setting for a warm night of food, conversation and of course, chocolate.
We even had an indoor lemon tree on set!
Delectable grazing boards, delicious wood-fired pizzas and of course that decadent chocolate smash cake left everyone feeling content.
Thanks to all the wonderful staff at who helped make the event such a success.

We had a blast at our first ever Book Club LIVE event with Anna Johnston Author at Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory on Friday night.
We brought together book clubbers, library staff and readers from Coolamon Shire Library, Cootamundra War Memorial Library, Gundagai Library, Junee Library Temora Shire Library and Henty and Culcairn in Greater Hume Council Libraries.
Everyone was so friendly.
It was a wonderful night with lots of laughs.

Our lucky door prize winners seemed pretty happy at our Book Club LIVE event with Anna Johnston Author on Friday night.
Sharon won the right to be our smash cake assistant - none of us knew how to smash a smash cake, so we had to make it up as we went along.
But where there is chocolate, there is always a way.
