M2W2 At M2W2, we provide practical support and mentorship to people affected by incarceration. Learn more at www.m2w2.com

We run three programs: prison mentorship, No One Leaves Alone (NOLA), and Hidden Treasures Thrift Stores. Each aims to share inclusive, restorative love with people in prison, on parole, and in the community. Prison mentorship brings companionship, accountability, and an outside perspective to folks in prison—people who regularly experience isolation and loneliness. In a mentoring relationship, pe

ople in prison can build trust and find healing in a safe space. No One Leaves Alone (NOLA) provides post-prison support by connecting people with the resources and relationships they need for successful community reintegration. Participants access support in five areas: housing, health, employment, education, and relationships. At Hidden Treasures people on parole, work release, or Escorted Temporary Absence (ETA) can gain employment experience alongside store staff and volunteers. Store proceeds help support our organization.

Feeling nervous before your first prison mentorship visit is normal.

For Paula, the fear became real as the date got closer — the fences, the doors, the unknown. But when she shared her nerves with others who understood, they helped her know what to expect.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin.

Sometimes a calling takes time.

After hearing about M2W2 more than 15 years ago, she carried the desire to mentor through years of parenting, waiting, and preparing.

When the timing was right, she stepped forward.

Could this be your time to take the plunge?

For 60 years, M2W2 has been sharing the love of Jesus with people impacted by incarceration, offering hope, mentorship, and support as they rebuild their lives.

At Steps of Hope, supporters, mentors, families, and community members came together to celebrate that mission and stand with those walking the difficult road from prison back into community.

Because lives change when people are met with dignity, consistency, and the love of Christ.

Thank you to everyone who continues to walk with us. 💙

Mentorship takes commitment, and Paula’s story shows what that looks like over time.

After applying in 2019 and waiting through the pandemic, Paula began volunteering at Fraser Valley Institution as soon as she was able. Since then, she has moved from mentor to coordinator, supporting 18 volunteers and helping ensure mentorship evenings run smoothly.

Her story is a reminder that steady, faithful presence can make a lasting difference.

At the end of his life, one relationship mattered most.

A man who had spent years in prison had no family by his side in the hospital.
But he wasn’t alone.

He asked for his mentor.

The same mentor who had shown up consistently over the years—through conversations, challenges, and growth—came to be with him, to pray, and to sit with him in his final moments.

That kind of presence doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built through trust, time, and commitment.

This is what mentorship looks like.

There are still individuals waiting for someone to walk alongside them.

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with the Rotary Club of Chilliwack Fraser as our Executive Director Steve recently shared about the ministry and the work being done to support individuals impacted by incarceration. The presentation highlighted M2W2’s mission of walking alongside people through mentorship, relationships, and support, helping individuals pursue personal growth and wholeness.

We are thankful for opportunities like these to raise awareness, build community partnerships, and share the impact that meaningful relationships can have. Pictured on the right is Rotary Club President Jason Sittie.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Chilliwack Fraser for the opportunity to connect and learn more about the work being done in our community together.

Mentorship isn’t about perfection.

There are setbacks. Mistakes. Sometimes even a return to prison.

But the measure of success is this:
Do we keep showing up?

Mentors walk alongside individuals through the highs and the hard moments—helping rebuild relationships, process challenges, and remind them that their story isn’t over.

Because people are more than their worst decisions.

And sometimes, what makes the biggest difference is knowing someone is still in your corner.

There are many ways to be part of this work—from mentorship to hands-on support.

Successful reintegration doesn’t happen by chance.

It takes consistent support across the areas that matter most:
✔ Housing
✔ Health
✔ Education
✔ Employment
✔ Relationships

Through mentorship, individuals impacted by incarceration are given the accountability, guidance, and support they need to rebuild their lives.

From prison mentorship… to community support through NOLA… to hands-on work experience in the thrift store and woodshop—this is a pathway toward long-term change.

And it all starts with people willing to step in and walk alongside others.
