Looking for recommendations on a spot for a crown land camp and ride or wheel, and camp for June. We enjoyed Little Cuba last year! Hoping for another swimming spot on a lake, kids wanna swim and play with the inflatable boat. Hopefully within an hour or two of Bancroft, we don’t mind a challenging trail!

The recovery of this hut was quite a job! It sank in 38’ of water on Otter Lake when the ice melted this spring. MNR was not pleased lol and we got the call to go get it out from the owner. Without a doubt, this was one of our most difficult recoveries to date! We love a good challenge! A water soaked 12’x 8’ with wood siding, 2x4 framing and an old camper trailer under it, it was extremely heavy. Estimated weight of 3000lbs (low end?) and with a shallow boat ramp approach it had to be right up out of the water to get it to shore. We had to build a crazy raft to get this one done 😁

This dude and a buddy were out scouting for Turkeys when things got a little out of hand, they unexpectedly found some snow left up near Algonquin Park and slid off the road trying to back up to bare gravel. After an unplanned night in the bush we were able to head up and sort out the issue! This story, “Saving Purolator Brian”, and some camp out call waiting make up our latest episode! This Subaru sank New Years Eve while we were enroute to tow it off the ice after its owner had a gps missadventure in a whiteout. She missed a fork and ended up driving down a boat launch onto the ice on Cordova Lake. Sometime a Subaru can be too good in snow lol in this case it did not get stuck where most cars would have and made it to thin ice before getting coming to a halt. Fortunately the owner was able to get to shore safely and the vehicle sank soon after.
