Public Information Centres (PICs) provide the community with an opportunity to share information and seek input regarding the project and the alternatives being considered. The first PIC (PIC #1) was held on May 22, 2025, to present the study background, existing study area conditions, preliminary alternatives, the evaluation criteria, the study process and next steps in the Class EA process. The purpose of PIC #2 is to provide an update on the study process, present the evaluation of alternatives, the preliminary preferred plan, anticipated environmental impacts and proposed mitigation strategies, and next steps.

PIC #2 will be held as a drop-in-style, open house format. Representatives of the Project Team from MTO and WSP will be in attendance to answer questions and receive comments. They encourage interested persons to attend to learn more and to provide input to ensure that concerns can be addressed by the project team as the study progresses. A slide deck of the materials presented at PIC #2 will also be available on the project website
at www.hwy15perthroadintersection.com following PIC #2.

Comments regarding PIC #2 are kindly requested by July 14, 2026 and can be submitted through the online comment form available on the website or by contacting one of the project team members listed on the website.

Are you interested in learning a computer language or know someone who is? Beckwith Recreation is pleased to offer free online courses on Python, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, Processing JS and Lynx Coding at beckwithtechcamp.com to anyone interested in learning the basics of these languages.

Each course is designed to be done independently at home and through video-based instruction, will walk you through how to setup an account and code the basic instructions of each language in six to eight 30 minute sessions. By the end of the course, you will create a simple video game or website page.

These courses were designed by the expert youth instructors of Beckwith Tech Camp and were used originally to teach youth ages 10-16 initial coding.

Possible applications are students wanting to do enrichment activities beyond the Ontario Math expectations for coding, youth interested in coding, adults interested in continuing education, and professionals needing to upgrade their basic programming skills.

For questions, Beckwith Tech Camp has a community forum on their dedicated page at https://www.facebook.com/beckwithtechcamp/ where support will be given.

🔥 BBQ SAFETY REMINDER 🔥

As BBQ season gets underway, the would like to remind everyone to stay safe while grilling this summer!

✅ Always use BBQs outdoors only
✅ Keep your BBQ away from siding, fences, and anything that can burn
✅ Check hoses and connections for leaks before use
✅ Never leave a BBQ unattended
✅ Keep children and pets at least 1 metre (3 feet) away from hot grills
✅ Turn the gas off at the tank first when finished cooking

Before your first BBQ of the season, remember to:
• CLEAN the burner ports
• CHECK hoses for cracks or damage
• TEST connections with soap and water for leaks

🚫 Never use water on a grease fire — this can spread the flames.

A few minutes of preparation can help prevent fires and injuries. Stay safe and enjoy BBQ season! 🌭🍔☀️
