On July 3rd, 2026, a bench warrant was issued by the court for a 41-year-old person from Brockville who failed to attend as required.
On August 23rd, 2026, the Gananoque Police Service was notified by a neighbouring agency that the wanted person had been located and arrested on the strength of the warrant. Subsequently, the accused was transported to the station and charged with Failure to attend court after having appeared. They were held in custody for a bail hearing.

On August 13th, 2026, the Gananoque Police Service received a 9-1-1 call for an assault in progress at a residence. Officers attended and located the victim with visible injuries, who reported the suspect had struck them multiple times in the head.

As a result, the 24-year-old person from Gananoque was arrested and charged with Assault – spousal. They were transported to the station for a bail hearing.

On August 9th, 2026, officers responded to a report of an unwanted person at a residence. Upon arrival, it was determined that the person had entered the property from a back fence, causing damage and an argument ensued with the homeowners.

The 32-year-old person from Gananoque was also on conditions from previous charges to not be in contact with the homeowners, or to attend the property. As a result, the accused was arrested and charged with Failure to comply with undertaking x 3. They were held in custody for a show cause bail hearing.

On August 7th, 2026, officers on patrol were flagged down by a business owner who reported a person had attended the property and broke the glass door.
On August 8th, 2026, the 40-year-old person was arrested and charged with Mischief - destroys or damages property. The accused was released on an appearance notice.

On August 2, 2026, the Gananoque Police Service received a report of graffiti to an apartment building. Video and photo evidence identified a 41-year-old person from Gananoque who had been previously charged in June for the same offence.
As a result, they were arrested and charged with Mischief - destroys or damages property. The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions.

On August 2, 2026, in the early morning hours, officers responded to a report of an assault involving intimate partners. Police learned that the victim was sleeping in a bedroom when their partner entered the room, yelled at them, and struck them multiple times with a closed fist.
A 60-year-old Gananoque resident was arrested and charged with Assault – Spousal. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

On July 29th, 2026, a traffic stop was conducted by officers on patrol on a vehicle with a faulty headlight. The driver was known to police and was on conditions not to be within the Town of Gananoque.
As a result, the 54-year-old person from Elginburg was arrested and charged with Failure to comply with release order. They were held in custody for a show cause bail hearing.

The Gananoque Police Service would like to congratulate this year’s Youth in Policing Initiative students on a fantastic Cruisin’ Against Hunger event!

Thanks to their hard work and the generosity of our community, the event raised $1,240 in cash donations and 528 lbs of food for the Gananoque & Area Food Bank.
