Did you know that today is National Kite Day? Mother Nature certainly cooperated; the weather was just right, with blue skies and a gentle breeze. A perfect day for flying kites!

A total of 24 kites took to the sky, adding a splash of colour, and a lot of fun to the day. Everyone enjoyed being outdoors and watching their kites soar high above them! 🪁

A few months ago, a group of youth from our Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) program had the exciting opportunity to take part in a Science Fair, showcasing their creativity, curiosity, and hard work!

In the weeks leading up to the event, the incredible team of volunteers from Raytheon ELCAN worked alongside our TAY participants, helping them develop and prepare their projects and presentations. Their guidance, encouragement, and support helped build confidence and made the experience even more fun! In recognition of all their hard work, ELCAN presented each of the youth with beautiful medals!

A huge thank you to Raytheon ELCAN for their ongoing partnership and support of CLH Foundation and the people supported by CLH Developmental Support Services. Opportunities like these help create meaningful experiences, build connections, and inspire future possibilities. 💜

☀️ What a perfect day for an adventure! Yesterday, Jesse, Johanna, Scott, Melissa, and Alex hopped on the ferry and headed to Centre Island for a day of fun, fresh air, and beautiful views.

The group had a great time exploring the island, riding all the rides, and taking in the sights of the Toronto skyline along the way. 🌇

On Monday, members of the CLH Developmental Support Services Self Advocates Council attended the Power of Belonging Symposium, an event focused on bringing together individuals, families, professionals, and community members to learn, connect, and explore ways to build more inclusive and supportive communities.

The council had a great time at the symposium, listening to speakers, gaining practical insights, and getting the opportunity to share their own experiences. It was a meaningful experience that strengthened connection and fostered a greater sense of belonging.

🏒 What a game! 🔥

The annual CLH Hockey Classic was a huge hit this week, bringing the energy as the DP Snipers and Mighty Pucks battled it out in a thrilling, edge-of-your-seat matchup! The game stayed tight right to the final seconds, with the DP Snipers clinching a 7–6 victory! 🏆

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made the event so special. Crystal for a beautiful rendition of O Canada, our fantastic emcees Kevin and Sebastian, the Midland Fire Department, and the Ontario Provincial Police - Central Region (SGBOPP) for coming out to play with us. We also appreciate the support of the Midland Flyers, Braxton Laurin, and Mike Laurin. And finally, a huge thank you to CLH Foundation, whose support makes this awesome event possible!

To all the players, volunteers, and cheering fans, thank you! It was an incredible day filled with hockey, community spirit, and fun! 💜
