Last chance to RSVP! Tomorrow NROCRC is officially launching the "After 3 Matters" campaign fundraiser, and we want you to be part of this incredible afternoon.

We are hosting a special campaign launch luncheon from noon to 1:30 PM Friday June 19, 2026 at Saffron Authentic Indian Restaurant (1547 Merivale Road). This initiative is dedicated to raising vital funds for our FREE after-school programs ensuring neighbourhood youth have access to a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment when the school bell rings. We invite local businesses and local organizations to attend, network, and see how we can partner together to support youth resilience and advance health equity in our community.

An event like this is only possible through the incredible strength of our community-based network. We want to extend a massive thank you to our campaign sponsors Merkburn and Urbandale Construction for their outstanding generosity and leadership. We also share our deepest gratitude with our generous donors, the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa and the Optimist Club of Nepean, for their continued commitment to local families. Finally, a huge thank you to the wonderful Dylan Black for joining us as our Master of Ceremonies to keep the afternoon energized!

Today, NROCRC was proud to be part of a massive, city-wide effort at Algonquin College for the Ottawa Summer Food Drive. Khalsa Aid Canada and an amazing network of partners, including the Ottawa Food Bank, the OCH Foundation and Odd Bunch joined forces to distribute a staggering 100,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to 33 local agencies.

A huge part of this success belongs to our schools! We are deeply grateful to the educators and students from the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB), with 31 schools participating to raise vital funds and food for this drive. Your hard work is making a real difference. ❤️

For our part, NROCRC brought 12,000 pounds of fresh produce directly to over 300 families with children at Inverness Park.

This massive operation truly took a village:

DYMON Storage generously lent us a truck, boxes, and incredible volunteer manpower to get everything loaded and moved. 🚚📦

Our phenomenal on-site volunteers worked tirelessly to hand out boxes and brighten everyone's day.

Ensuring families have access to fresh, nutritious food is a foundational health intervention. With the rising cost of groceries, this initiative is about advancing health equity by removing barriers. When we address food insecurity, we are directly supporting youth mental health and reducing family financial stress.

Thank you to every single partner, volunteer, student, and neighbour who stepped up today. Together, we are building a healthier, more supportive community!
