June 13th is Men’s Mental Health Day 💙

Many men grow up feeling pressure to stay silent about their emotions or handle struggles on their own. Breaking the stigma around mental health starts with creating space for honest conversations and reminding one another that support is available.

Today, we encourage you to reach out to one man or male-presenting person in your life and ask how they’re really doing.

If you’re seeking support, we’re here to listen. Our experienced counsellors are ready to hear your story, listen without judgment, and support you through whatever you may be facing. Call 306-244-0127 to get started.

Men are significantly less likely to seek mental health and emotional support, even though they are at a higher risk of experiencing social isolation.
Too often, stigma, expectations, and the pressure to handle challenges alone can make it difficult to reach out for help.

Taking care of your mental health is not a sign of weakness. Seeking support is a meaningful step toward connection, healing, and well-being.

If you are experiencing mental health challenges and would like support, Family Service Saskatoon is here to help. We offer compassionate, judgment-free services designed to meet you where you are and support you through life’s challenges.

Call 306-244-0127 to get started.

‘Toughing it out’ does not work.

Supressing emotions instead of addressing and expressing them healthily causes both physical and mental harm.

Additionally, this fails to reduce the feeling and, instead, amplifies it. This leads to increased anxiety, depression, and angry/emotional outbursts.

If you’re ready to address your emotions, we are here to listen, judgment-free. Call us at 306-244-0127 to learn more about our counselling and programs.
