🧡E V E R Y C H I L D M A T T E R S 🧡
On Wednesday, September 30, Hammarskjold will recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.
Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange as we honour Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and reflect on the ongoing impacts of the residential school system.
At 11:50 a.m., our school community will come together for a walk on the field as part of our recognition of the day.
Throughout the school, students will also contribute to our “1,000 Words, Countless Stories” display, sharing words, drawings, messages, and reflections about what Orange Shirt Day means to them.
